This morning I was feeling rather stuffed from a long weekend of eating. I crave fresh fruits and veggies if I don’t eat enough and this morning was no exception. So I made a spinach smoothie. I would give you a recipe but that would kill blenderizing fun, so instead I’ll let you know what my drink consisted of and encourage you to make up your own.
Side note: avoid dairy with your spinach as the calcium has been shown to inhibit iron absorption from non-meat sources.Check out more on mineral absorption here.
- Spinach (handful)
- Banana (for a creamy texture)
- Orange Juice (enough to blend)
- Coconut Milk (to cut sweetness of fruit)
