Pear Pecen Smoothness

My favorite foods are the ones that double as breakfast and dessert. Basically anything with warm fruit, oats, sugar, milk and eggs (think apple crisp, waffles and creme brulee). Today I found some pears and made dessert for breakfast. If you need justification for my morning concoction, here are the facts:

Pears: High in fiber and low in calories, this sweetly crisp fruit has tons of Vitamin C. They also have a low glycemic index and will not cause a spike in blood sugar.

Pecans: Packed with protein, fiber, zinc, thiamin and healthy monosaturated fats.

Plain Yogurt: A good source of calcium, good gut bacteria (probiotic) and protein. Be sure to buy plain and add your own sweetener such as maple syrup or jam.
